Carroll Gordon was the Landscape Architect on this project, which is a new maintenance facility with office space and vehicle storage as well as maintenance, material storage and shops. The project also includes a vehicle fueling facility, outdoor vehicle storage, and loading dock area.
The project is registered with USGBC for Silver LEED certification. Towards that end, the planting is native and drought tolerant. Rainwater will be caught for reuse for exterior and interior non-potable needs. A portion of the roof utilizes Green Roof technology, and is designed in a swirl pattern of low growing sedums and other plants that provide color and also survive in the extreme conditions of a roof environment.
