KSE will provide Site Safety Inspection and Construction Inspection for this project. The overall CM team is led by STV, Inc.
The purpose of this project is to provide Construction Management (CM) services for the interior renovations of the Bronx Civil1 Civil Supreme Courthouse. This $17 million project is to renovate the interior of the existing Supreme Court Building located a located at 851 Grand Concourse, borough of the Bronx, City of New York. The building is listed on the National Register of historic places, as well as being a designated New York City landmark. Accordingly, all renovation and preservation efforts must reflect the integrity and historic importance of the prominent structure, and comply with the guidelines and restrictions of the above governing groups. Total Construction Duration is anticipated to be 4 years.
CM services will be performed in two phases and executed in three separate contracts. The three contracts are Design Phase, Construction Phase, and General Conditions Works Phase. The existing Courthouse will remain operational during the renovation process. Phased construction is required; the design consultant will develop the construction documents accordingly. The phased methodology (horizontal or vertical) - floors, area and/or quadrants will be determined in concert with the design consultant during the schematic design phase. Close coordination will be required with contractor providing Elevator modernization, MEP systems & infrastructure upgrades work, which will be on going simultaneously by the Department of Citywide Administration Services (DCAS).
