PROJECT DESCRIPTION

KSE is providing complete Site/Civil Engineering and Construction Support Services for the Kean University building for the Center for Science, Technology and Mathematics Education of New Jersey (CSTME). The design team is led by the New York City based Architectural firm of Cannon Design Group.

The center will house 140,000 net square feet of space and shall be designed and constructed to achieve LEED GOLD certification in accordance with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) guidelines. The sustainable architecture for this facility will provide an appropriate fit for its pedagogical teaching research in biological and physical sciences, mathematics and diverse use of technology throughout the building componentsto maintain a flexible use of programmed space that will create synergy among students and faculty. Construction of this CSTME is vital to the University's commitment to fulfill New Jersey's educational needs and labor market demands for technology/scientific-based professionals. The CSTME initiative is essential to the integrity of the state's public school system and highly qualified science and mathematics educators and the viability of New Jersey's technology and scientific based economy.
