This project included construction management and resident engineering/inspection services, including constructability review, for construction of this multimodal terminal, which includes $40 million for the new passenger station alone. The construction management work for this project involved the following:
- Two 1,000 ft. high-level railroad station platforms
- 350-foot-long overhead station concourse spanning eight tracks
- AirTrain terminal
- Associated trackage, signals, power catenary, and other right-of-way structures
Additionally, KS Engineers, P.C.
(KSE) provided construction surveying services to support Amtrak’s and Conrail’s force accounts. Structures surveyed included platforms and piles, among others.
KSE also performed alignment surveys of the track.
