To become a successful partner in any design/build project, the designer must understand that, instead of projects budget being the result or afterthought of the project’s design, with the design/build process the design is derived as a result of the budget. Since our inception in 1991, KSE has been part of many successful public sector design/build projects. KSE’s work begins on a design/build project before the final contract is executed. Critical items such as permits are indentified and wheels are put in to motion to secure them as early as possible. Our goal in the design/build process is to reduce construction cost and be responsive to demanding field schedule. Our engineering team responds quickly to any changes due to varied field conditions. Our design process entails the development of optimal and most economical construction methods, materials studies and related activities. We work closely with the contractor, owner agency, and community groups to ensure that specific programmatic requirements are complimented by innovative, efficient and cost effective designs.
